As you go through the natural aging process, your skin--especially the neck and face--begins to lose its elasticity. Wrinkles, fine lines and saggy skin are noticeable as you approach middle age. There are many remedies to combat sagging and aging skin such as cosmetic surgery, botox injections and chemical ointments. These remedies, however, can cause skin irritations and scarring. There are natural and non-surgical methods such as facial exercises you can do every day to help tighten your face and neck.
Step 1
Tighten your eye muscles by putting your index and middle fingers on each side of your head, at the temple. Press down gently with your fingers while quickly opening and closing your eyes. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
Step 2
Tighten the muscles in your forehead. Sit up straight and face forward. Bring your eyebrows tightly down over your eyes. Crunch your nose as high up as you can while flaring your nostrils. Hold for a count of 20, relax and repeat five times.
Step 3
Tighten the muscles of your lips. Sit up straight and face forward while keeping your lips closed tight and your teeth together. Smile as wide as possible without opening your lips, and hold for 15 counts. When relaxing, start puckering your lips tightly as if you are about to give a kiss. Hold that position for 15 counts, relax and repeat 10 times.
Step 4
Tighten your cheek muscles. Close your mouth and blow air to your left cheek until it puffs up and keep it here for five seconds, then move it to your right cheek, hold for another five seconds. Move the air to your upper lip and hold for a count of five seconds and move it down your lower lip and hold for another five seconds. Repeat 10 times.
Step 5
Tighten the muscles of your neck. Sit up straight on a chair and tilt your head back slowly and as far as you can making sure your jaw is loose. With your head still tilted backwards, close your mouth slowly. You will feel the muscles in your neck stretch. Open your mouth and repeat 15 times.
