Program Description
If you’re like most people, you’re trying to get more to-do items crossed off each day than ever before. For many of us, that means skimping on sleep. But tons of evidence suggests that you’re actually less productive, less effective and at higher health risk when you deprive yourself of sleep.
Actions
1. Go to bed earlier, wake up earlier.
2. Turn off the television and put work away several hours before bedtime.
3. Use good sleep habits to maintain a healthy weight. Sleep deprivation raises levels of fat-producing hormones.
4. Upgrade your alarm clock if it’s a screecher. Several on the market today simulate the rising of the sun or wake you gradually with non-jarring sound.
5. If you can do so without getting fired, nap. Research shows that “Power Napping†for 15 to 30 minutes improves accuracy and overall work performance.
