If you have naturally wavy hair, it can be difficult to deal with the frizz that often comes with this hair type. Humidity from the environment, excessive hair processing and styling can make wavy hair explode into frizz. But there's no need to worry: you can tame your mane using a few time-tested products and techniques. The key to controlling frizz for naturally wavy hair is to moisturize the hair without weighing it down.

Step 1

Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo designed to lock in hydration on each strand of hair. Rinse well.

Step 2

Use a conditioner designed for dry or curly hair. Work the conditioner all the way through your hair from the roots to tips. Allow it to sit while you finishing taking a shower before rinsing well.

Step 3

Towel dry your hair and comb it out well, eliminating tangles and knots.

Step 4

Apply a leave-in conditioner to further tame the frizz and to leave your hair with a smoother texture. Use a small amount, and focus on the ends of your hair.

Step 5

Let your hair air dry, or if you're in a rush, blow dry it until damp. Then use a serum intended to calm frizz in humid weather. Work it all through your hair from the roots to tips before finishing drying your hair.

Step 6

Use a curl spray to calm persistent frizzy spots and to give your hair a shiny, glossy look.
