There are simple ways to help regrow your hair with items already found in your house. According to the Mayo Clinic, a hereditary condition called androgenetic alopecia is the most common reason for hair loss in both men and women. People with androgenetic alopecia lose their hair because their hair follicles are trapped and blocked from the blood supply that is needed to nourish development and hair growth. Blocked hair follicles are due to hormonal changes, irritation or damage. Gradual thinning of the hair is natural with age, but hair loss may escalate to baldness when the amount of hair you shed exceeds the amount of hair you grow. There are hundreds of products out there that cost a lot of money and promise to regrow your hair for you. However, there are natural products that you have right in your own home that can help you regrow your hair.

Step 1

Drink water. You need to keep your body hydrated if you want to regrow your hair. If you don't drink enough water, your hair will become dry, brittle and impossible to regrow. The Mayo Clinic recommends drinking at least eight 8 oz. glasses per day.

Step 2

Massage with olive oil. Olive oil is an excellent way to clean your pores and help regrow your hair. Everyday, your hair and scalp are exposed to toxic elements such as pollution, dirt and sweat that damages the hair follicles and pores that make your hair grow. Once a week, massage 1 tbsp of olive oil into your scalp and leave overnight. Rise with warm water in the morning.

Step 3

Drink green tea. Green tea reduces the amount of dihydrotestostorone (DHT) your body produces. DHT is one of the leading causes of pattern baldness, so the more green tea you drink, the more you reduce your chances of balding. Drink at least three 8 oz. cups of green tea every day. In a study published in the "Journal of the National Medical Association" in 2005, researchers found that 33 percent of mice that received green tea extracts experienced new hair growth.

Step 4

Eat eggs. Eggs are an excellent source of protein and biotin. Biotin strengthens the hair, nails and skin. By eating eggs and incorporating biotin into your diet, you can regrow your hair.

Step 5

Use aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is a form of herbal medicine that uses fragrant essential oils, which are released when an herb is compressed. In a study done by Dr. Ormerod Jamieson and published in the "Archive of Dermatology" in 1998, 84 people with hair loss were asked to use essential oils for seven months. The people in the study massaged essentials oils with thyme, rosemary, lavender and cedarwood into their scalps every night. The results found that 44 percent of the people in the study had new hair growth, compared with only 15 percent in the control group.
