Though you woke up ready to tackle the world today, your eyes say otherwise. Dark circles under your eyes portray a look of exhaustion that's noticeable to those around you. Dark circles stem from a poor night's sleep or dehydration, and can even be genetic. No matter what the cause you will need to get rid of them before you leave the house. It only takes a few minutes out of your morning to erase these circles, leaving you looking as though you had a full night's rest.
Step 1
Massage almond oil into the darkened area under your eyes and allow it to stay there for 15 minutes, adding more as the area dries up. Rinse the area with a clean damp cloth. To help prevent these dark circles, apply the oil under your eyes before you go to bed and leave it on overnight. Wipe the area with a clean damp cloth in the morning.
Step 2
Place a couple of metal spoons in the freezer for a few minutes until they are very cold. Hold a spoon over each eye, making sure to press them gently onto the darkened areas for three to five minutes to eliminate the circles.
Step 3
Mix pineapple juice and turmeric powder into a thick paste and apply it to the circles. Allow the paste to sit on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes before gently wiping it away with a clean damp cloth.
Step 4
Crush mint leaves with a mortar and pestle and place them under your eyes to cover the dark area. Leave the mint in place for 20 minutes before wiping it away with a clean damp cloth.
Step 5
Place used tea bags that have cooled to expel excess moisture under your eyes and help eliminate the circles. Leave the tea bags over your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes before removing them.
