The Church's Fried Chicken menu consists primarily of chicken and side dishes, with entrees including original chicken, spicy chicken, tender strips, chicken sandwich, chicken and cheese sandwich, double chicken and cheese, country fried steak, shrimp and fries, and steak fingers. Church's data include only basic nutritional values, with no information about vitamin and mineral content. Serving sizes are one piece of chicken or one sandwich.

Calories

Original wings and thighs have 300 and 330 calories compared with the spicy recipe with 430 and 480. An original leg has 110 calories; the spicy version has 180. The original breast contains 200 calories, while the spicy breast has 320. Original chicken strips have 120 calories and the sandwich has 456. The remaining menu choices include the sandwich with cheese (503 calories), double sandwich (738), five-piece nuggets (162), shrimp (750), steak fingers (494) and country fried steak (470).

Carbohydrates

Original chicken breasts and legs have 3 g of carbohydrates. The spicy counterparts go up to 12 and 17. The original thighs and wings have an average of 7 1/2 g, while the spicy versions have an average of 18 1/2 g. You'll get the lowest carbs from the chicken strips (6 g), followed by nuggets (13 g), chicken fingers (23 g), country fried steak (36 g), chicken sandwich (48 g), double sandwich (63 g) and shrimp (86 g).

Protein

The chicken thigh, breast and wings have 21 to 29 g of protein, and the legs have 10 to 12 g. Chicken strips have 11 to 12 g, and the sandwich has 15 to 16 g of protein. The double sandwich jumps to 32 g, while shrimp, steak fingers and country fried steak contain 20 to 21 g.

Fats

The amount of total fat in the Church's entrees ranges from 6 g for a leg to 38 g in the chicken and cheese sandwich, but most fall 22 to 38 g of total fat. Saturated fat values are between from 3 (chicken breast) to 12 g (fingers and double sandwich), with an average of 6.4 g. The sandwich entrees contain no trans fats while other entrees have 1 to 3 g.

Sodium

Like most fast foods, Church's entrees are high in salt, but the individual chicken pieces are lower than other entrees. The original leg, thigh and breast have half the amount of sodium, with 540, 680 and 450 mg of sodium, respectively. Except for the double sandwich, the remaining entrees provide 1,036 to 1,980 mg of sodium. You'll get 2,571 mg of sodium from the double chicken and cheese sandwich.

Dietary Fiber

The shrimp and fries provide 6 g of dietary fiber. All of the other entrees on the menu have 1 to 4 g.
