1. Exercise Improves Stamina

The most obvious way exercise boosts your sex life is by giving you more stamina. This is a huge plus if you want to have more enthusiastic and wild sex, and especially if you want to have it multiple times. Cardio exercise such as swimming, cross-country skiing or walking is best for increasing stamina. Those who prefer to exercise indoors might want to run on a treadmill, climb on a stair-stepper or work with an elliptical trainer.

2. Regular Workouts Increase Flexibility

Aerobics, stretching and yoga increase flexibility, which can be a huge advantage when trying some of the more adventurous positions in sex manuals such as the Kama Sutra. Flexibility is also important because having sex with someone flexible, like a gymnast or a dancer, is one of the more common American sexual fantasies.

3. A Constant Release of Endorphins Improves Your Sex Life

Exercise causes the release of endorphins, improving overall good feeling. The increased level of endorphins, however, may also influence the buildup of hormones that power your libido. No specific type of exercise causes this effect, so you'll improve your sex drive when you work out no matter what you do.

4. Practice Yoga to Improve Blood Flow

Many positions in yoga are said to increase sexual performance. This should come as no surprise, since the culture that gave us yoga also gave us that infamous book on sexual positions, the Kama Sutra. Surveys of people who regularly practice yoga reveal that the positions have improved their sexual performance and the theory behind yoga suggests that some yoga positions improve blood flow to the genital area. Whether this actually happens or whether it is simply part of the placebo effect, no one is quite sure, but the results are the same.

5. Increased Strength Leads to Fewer Cramps

During an orgasm, the muscles in the body contract and release. Someone who doesn't exercise regularly may develop a cramp, which can completely ruin the mood. Use weights in order to increase your strength and prevent cramps during sex from ruining the moment.
