Healthy hair growth requires proper care and diet. Harsh chemicals and salon treatments can leave hair brittle and damaged. Remember to always handle hair with care, brush often and carefully to prevent breakage and avoid extreme heat from styling tools. A natural and effective way to regrow lost hair is with vitamins, herbs and massage.

Step 1

Add 3 tbsp. of dried rosemary leaves to 1 cup of olive oil. Heat in the microwave for one minute and set in a cool, dark place for 48 hours. Strain the rosemary leaves out of the oil and put the oil in a clean bottle.

Step 2

Apply the rosemary oil to the scalp before bed and cover hair with a shower cap. Wash hair as usual in the morning. Use this hair-growth treatment twice a week. Rosemary stimulates hair growth by increasing circulation in the scalp.

Step 3

Puncture a flaxseed oil capsule and massage the oil into the scalp. Take care to use your fingertips and not your nails.

Step 4

Massage the scalp in circular motions for five minutes. Massage stimulates the hair follicles to encourage new growth, while flaxseed oil also supports new hair growth by fostering a healthy scalp.

Step 5

Take a multivitamin and incorporate iron, zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin E and B vitamins into your daily diet. Deficiency in these vitamins leads to brittle and unhealthy hair growth, and vitamin D deficiency is directly related to hair loss. Foods such as berries, green leafy vegetables, whole grains and lean meats contain all of these nutrients.

Step 6

Conduct a weekly hair mask to regrow hair. Vitamin-rich hair masks are a natural way to encourage new hair growth. Eggs are full of vitamin D, iron, zinc and a variety of B vitamins. Massage the raw egg into the scalp and throughout hair and allow to absorb for 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Step 7

Alternate the weekly hair mask with an avocado mask. Avocados are rich in vitamin E, B vitamins and an abundance of natural oils to help create a healthy scalp and strong hair. Distribute the mashed avocado evenly, cover the head with a shower cap and rinse after 30 minutes.

Tips and Warnings

  • Always drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and promote healthy hair growth. Exercise 30 minutes a day to boost circulation and blood flow. This stimulates the hair follicles. Avoid refined junk food and fatty fast food.
  • Hot water will scramble the egg in your hair and make it difficult to remove. Use lukewarm or cool water to remove the egg mask.
