It's pretty normal to notice bags under your eyes every once in a while. Yours might look like a bit of darkened skin beneath the eye, puffiness or a full-on droopy bag. While under eye bags don't indicate any major illness, they can still negatively affect your life and illicit constant, "You should get some rest," comments from friends. To avoid this, there are ways to remove the bags under your eyes and gain a brighter, wide-eyed view of the world.

Step 1

Sleep at least seven hours each night. Getting enough sleep will allow your body to rest and recuperate from the previous day and allow you to wake up refreshed, without bags under your eyes. It may also help to sleep with your head elevated to prevent the blood vessels beneath your eyes from filling up with blood and giving you a droopy look.

Step 2

Make a cold compress with a wash cloth and ice cold water. Press this beneath your eyes for several minutes. Once you're done, your eyes will feel awake and refreshed and the dark and puffy skin beneath your eyes will have shrunk and lightened, at least temporarily.

Step 3

Take two tea bags and soak them in cold water. Then, place them over your eyes for 15 minutes. The coldness will reduce swelling and the tannins in the tea will tighten the skin and decrease the dark pigmentation.

Step 4

Cut some potato into half moon shapes and place them over your eyes for several minutes. This will lighten your skin and make your puffy under eye bags much less noticeable.
