Growing facial hair is a goal for many men. Once you start, you want to get past the uneven, patchy phase as quickly as possible. While you cannot really speed up hair growth, you can do things to optimize your facial hair growing experience by maintaining your mustache or beard with proper care and regular trims.
Step 1
Trim the ends of your facial hair once a week. If any damage occurs to the end of the hair, it can split and break the rest of the hair if left untrimmed. That is why it is important to trim off the ends to maximize your facial hair growth potential.
Step 2
Maintain a healthy diet by drinking plenty of water a day (at least eight glasses) and supplementing with B vitamins. Protein is especially important as it plays a major role in hair growth. Being malnourished can slow down hair growth or even cause your hair to fall out, so watch your diet to encourage speedy facial hair growth.
Step 3
Wash your mustache and beard with a mild baby shampoo once every few days. Apply a conditioner immediately after. This will nourish your facial hair, cleanse it and the act of massaging in the shampoo will stimulate your hair follicles, speeding up hair growth even more.
