While breasts are perky when you're young, they can start to feel the effects of gravity as you age, slowly sloping downward and sagging on your chest. But not only older women suffer from sagging breasts. Postpartum women as well as those who have lost weight very quickly can develop a droopy chest. Luckily, there are ways to give your breasts a boost and at the very least give the illusion that they're sitting higher.
Step 1
Take good care of your skin by maintaining a healthy diet and supplementing it with vitamin E, C and A, all of which nourish your skin. This can prevent wrinkles and keep the skin more elastic, which is a major part of preventing drooping over time.
Step 2
Wear a supportive bra to keep your breasts lifted up and prevent them from sagging throughout the day. This is especially important when working out. Wear a bra that firmly holds your breasts in place. Bouncing or jostling can stretch the skin and cause your breasts to sag further.
Step 3
Work out your chest muscles. On a weight bench, lie on your back while holding two dumbbells. Then, lift them up in the air and back down to your shoulders. This will firm up your chest muscles, effectively lifting up your breast tissue.
Step 4
Work out your back muscles by performing rowing exercises. Hold dumbbells in both of your hands and bend over while bending your knees a bit. Then, lift the dumbbells up and slightly behind you. This will strengthen your back and improve your posture, another key for making your breasts look like they're sitting higher on your body.
Any exercise that strengthens your core like Pilates will also work to improve your posture.
