A facial mask is a creamy mask you apply to clean or smooth your face. Dry facial skin is a common dermatological complaint. It affects both women and men and occurs more often during the winter season when the skin becomes dry due to low humidity. When your face is dry, it can crack, peel, redden, become irritated and lose moisture. Dry skin can also be caused by chemicals, medications, lack of vitamins and caffeine intake. Dry skin can also lead to fine lines and wrinkles. There are innumerable facial mask creams you can purchase at your local drugstore. Fortunately, you can make your own facial mask using a few natural ingredients.
Step 1
Put one avocado (remove seed), 7 tbsp. of honey and 1/2 cup of olive oil in a blender. Rip open five green tea bags and pour their contents into the mixture. Blend the mixture for 30 seconds and then transfer to a clean bowl to set aside.
Step 2
Wash your face with warm water and moisturizing soap, but don't scrub your face.
Step 3
Apply a generous amount of the face mask mixture to your face. Gently massage it in a circular motion for one minute or until it becomes hard. Leave it on your face for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Rinse the facial mask cream off your face with cold water and pat it dry with a clean towel or tissue. Do not scrub your face with a loofah sponge or similar scrubbing sponge--it will cause skin irritation and redness.
