No matter if your hair is long and straight, short and curly, or somewhere in between, everyone wants to have healthy, shiny hair. Over-heating, chemical treatments or lack of care can all lead to dry, unhealthy looking hair. By taking better care of your hair, you can having gorgeous, shiny, flowing hair. Use a combination of on-the-spot treatments and lifestyle changes to get the most from your hair.
Step 1
Combine 1 egg with 1 tbsp. honey, and apply to wet hair. Leave the mask on for five minutes, then shampoo it out.
Step 2
Slather on 3 to 4 tbsp. of mayonnaise and leave it on your hair anywhere from five minutes to one hour. Shampoo out and dry as you usually would. You can also mash up an avocado with olive oil to use as a home conditioner. You can also massage coconut oil into your hair, wrap your head in saran wrap, a plastic bag, or a towel, and leave it in for as long as you can. Shampoo the oil out.
Step 3
Pour a beer into a spray bottle. Wash and towel dry your hair, spray the beer onto your hair, coating it completely. Don't rinse it out. The beer smell will disappear as it dries.
Step 4
Drink plenty of water, and eat a diet rich in protein. Protein is found in foods like meats, nuts and dairy products. Nourishing your hair from within will make new hair growth healthier.
