While it's normal to have hair on your legs, it can be a real nuisance to have to shave it every day. Achieving silky, smooth legs is a goal for many women, and it's often unattainable through standard means alone. Shaving can cause irritation and make the hair coarser and darker. That being said, there are ways to remove hair from your legs and stop it from growing altogether.
Step 1
Use a depilatory cream on your legs. Rub the cream over the area from which you want to remove hair. Allow to sit for several minutes while the product works to lift the hair from the follicles. Then, wipe off the cream and your hairs will come with it. This treatment will need to be repeated every few weeks to maintain smooth skin.
Step 2
Wax the hair off of your legs. Apply heated wax to your legs, then place a wax strip on your leg over the wax, smoothing it in the direction of the hair growth. Then, in one swift movement, pull the strip off to remove the hair.
Step 3
Have the hair on your legs removed through laser therapy. The laser beam is shined on your skin and stops hair growth on contact. A few treatment sessions are usually required to see a full cessation of hair growth on the legs. When completed, this is a permanent procedure.
Step 4
Use electrolysis to have your leg hair removed. During this procedure, the area will be thoroughly cleansed, then a needle will be used to send electricity into your hair follicles. This will cause each hair to fall out, leaving your skin smooth for long periods of time and even permanently after multiple treatments.
