Photosensitivity

Digestive Problems
You may experience digestive problems while taking Diovan HCT. Diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain can occur. These effects may lessen over time as your body adjusts to this medication. Eating a sensible diet high in fiber, fruits and vegetables and avoiding spicy or fatty foods may help to combat digestive problems. If diarrhea or vomiting become severe, you run the risk of becoming dehydrated. Contact your physician if digestive symptoms become severe.
Headache
You may experience headaches while taking Diovan HCT. This side effect may diminish over time as your body adjusts to Diovan HCT. You can treat your headache with acetaminophen or ibuprofen as per your doctor's consent. If your headache becomes severe and is accompanied by fever, fainting or changes in vision, contact your health care provider.
Allergic Reaction
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue) can occur while taking Diovan HCT, reports Drugs.com. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek emergency medical attention.
