The line of Braun epilators are intended to help remove unwanted hair at the root. Your skin can then stay silky and smooth for longer periods than when you shave. You may not need to use the epilator again for as long as four weeks. Epilator models from Braun include the Xpressive, Xelle and Soft Perfection. The Braun epilators include attachments that contain multiple rotating tweezers to pull away body hair.

Step 1

Choose the appropriate attachment. The epilator comes with multiple attachments that can be secured to the base and each is designed to remove hair from specific body parts. You can use the model on the face, legs, underarms and bikini line. Some of the models also have a rotating head that can be adjusted to smooth out the contoured areas.

Step 2

Set the mode for the Braun epilator. If you have the Xpressive, you can use the epilator in the shower or while the skin is dry. You'll need to set either the wet or dry mode switch. Other models should be used on dry skin.

Step 3

Hold your skin taut with one hand. Run the epilator over the skin in a straight line and in a continuous motion. Follow the natural hair growth of the pattern to prevent ingrown hairs.

Step 4

Clean your skin to rinse away the removed hair. Pat the skin dry with a soft towel.

Step 5

Turn off the epilator and remove the head. Use the included brush to sweep away any hair that has been collected around the tweezers. Replace the attachment and run the head under warm water. Shake any excess water out of the epilator.

Step 6

Apply a cool compress to areas that experience sensitivity. Your skin may feel irritated after using the Braun epilator. Soothe the discomfort by placing a washcloth moistened with cold water on affected areas.
