With a gentle touch and some common skin care products, almost anyone can perform a relaxing spa facial at home. Follow these steps for a spa-like deep-cleansing facial experience.
Step 1
Wrap hair, if necessary, to hold it back from the face. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and rinse. Apply makeup remover to a cotton ball. Use this to remove makeup from the face. Repeat until your skin is makeup free, then rinse your face.
Step 2
Apply several drops of cleansing milk to the neck. Wet the index, middle and fourth fingers of both hands with warm water. Massage the cleansing milk into the skin of the neck using long, upward motions.
Step 3
Apply several drops of cleansing milk to the face. Wet the middle and fourth fingers of both hands with warm water. Using these fingertips, massage cleansing milk over the face. Begin along the center line of the face and work outward using small, circular motions.
Step 4
Moisten facial sponges with warm water. Beginning at the base of the neck, use upward strokes to remove cleansing milk from the neck. Rinse and repeat until all cleansing milk is removed from your neck. Then, working from the center of the face outward, remove all cleansing milk from your face.
Step 5
Apply several drops of exfoliating cream to your face. Using the middle and forth fingers of each hand, massage the exfoliating cream over the face, using quick, circular motions. Leave the cream on.
Step 6
Plug the sink and fill it with very hot water. Cover your head and shoulders with the bath towel and bend over the sink. Allow steam to rise on your face for several minutes. Next, moisten facial sponges with warm water. Use these to remove the exfoliating cream in long, upward strokes.
Step 7
Apply the face mask to the neck and face. Lie down and cover each eye with a cucumber slice. Relax for 5 to 10 minutes. Throw away the cucumber slices. Moisten facial sponges with warm water. Use these to remove the face mask. Repeat as necessary until skin is clean.
Step 8
Apply a drop of eye gel to the fourth fingertip of each hand. Using these fingertips, gently pat the eye gel into the skin around the eyes.
Step 9
Apply a small dollop of moisturizer to the middle and fourth fingers of each hand. Use these to gently massage moisturizer into the skin of the face and neck.
