Fixes and upgrades around the site
A bunch of new features and fixes went live today! Here are some that you may find of interest:
First up, for those of you who use TDP on LIVESTRONG, we’ve added a great feature that’s easier to use than to explain — but I’ll still try! If you click “I Ate This!” and then choose “other” to enter a date of your own choosing (instead of “today” or “yesterday”), that new date will appear again the next time you click “I Ate This.” That way, if you have a bunch of foods to enter for, say, two days ago, you can get it done a lot more quickly!
You can now choose to subscribe to our experts’ blogs. Visit one of their blogs now, and you can choose to be notified every time they post a new entry.
You’ll also notice a revamped search bar in the header. Now you can easily choose whether to search the whole site, just The Daily Plate, or just for members. And over on the Forums, you can find a forum-specific search near the top right of the page. The site is also better about remembering your searches (so that you don’t have to retype the whole query if you want to refine your search).
We’ve made a variety of fixes to the Excel exports you can generate from MyPlate. If you’ve been having issues with them, try again!
Also on MyPlate, we’ve corrected some issues where meals you had tracked could lose their timestamps in certain scenarios.
A variety of other fixes and upgrades also launched today, and we have plenty more fixes in the works. We had intended to role out some upgrades to Groups today, but we had to hold off at the last minute, so that we can make sure we get everything right. Expect that upgrade soon!
As always, let us know what you think in the comments below. We sincerely appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for adding the “I ate this” date remember enhancement. Keep spreading this type of entry efficiency improvements.
Suggestions:
Don’t forget to add this same feature to the quick-add box beside the plate (that’s where I first tried to find this feature and it didn’t work there).
Bring this same sort of remembering the previous entry to the meal classification (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Get the drop down menu to default to the previous meal but not assign it (the same as how it defaults to “unclassified”. This should save several clicks per person per day.

Hi, I’m not sure if these changes are responsible for the mess my daily plate is in, but I’m a bit distressed to find that several of my regular foods have disappeared, and seem to be gone, too, from earlier daily lists. I have a gold account and count on this information to track my supplements with the daily nutrition label, and now I’ve lost significant data just two days before I have to meet with my dietician. What is the situation?

Hi Kate,
Sorry about that — it was a temporary hiccup on our end, and the data should all be back now.
