3 Unique Savory Popsicles for Summer

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ... popsicles? Ice cream during the summer is so "been there, done that." Popsicles are the perfect alternative for when you are just dying for a tasty, refreshing treat after breaking a sweat. To shake things up, we added a savory twist to these popsicle recipes. I dare you to be this cool!

Savory popsicles

Coco Me Loco Nut Pops

Prep time: 5 minutes
Yields: 4 pops

INGREDIENTS
* 2 bananas
* 8 ounces coconut milk
* 2 tablespoons honey
* ¼ cup coconut flakes

DIRECTIONS
1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2. Spoon into popsicle molds or paper cups. Freeze until almost firm.
3. Insert wooden popsicle sticks.
4. Freeze until hard.

These popsicles will make you feel like you're lying beneath a palm tree or lounging on a hammock next to crystal-blue waters. The added bonus on top of feeling blissful? Coconut milk is rich in lauric acid, which can boost your immune system, and MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides), which can help you lose weight.

Nutsicle Pop

Prep time: 5 minutes
Yields: 5 pops

INGREDIENTS
* 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1/8 cup slivered almonds

DIRECTIONS
1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2. Spoon into popsicle molds or paper cups. Freeze until almost firm.
3. Insert wooden popsicle sticks.
4. Freeze until hard.

You've never done almonds like this: Be prepared to find a whole new way of loving your usual afternoon snack. Almond milk is not only full of flavor, it's also a great source of calcium and muscle-repairing vitamin E!

Herc-alicious Pop

Yields: 4 pops

INGREDIENTS
* 2 cups Greek yogurt
* ¼ cup goat cheese
* 4 tablespoons honey

DIRECTIONS
1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2. Spoon into popsicle molds or paper cups. Freeze until almost firm.
3. Insert wooden popsicle sticks.
4. Freeze until hard.

This Mediterranean-inspired recipe makes this the Greek god of all pops. The mixture of amazing flavors creates the ultimate savory treat. It's also chock-full of belly-flattening Greek yogurt, and the honey will help you fight off disease, so lick away!
