Don’t-Miss Pieces We Published Last Week
By JESS BARRON
As head of content for LIVESTRONG.COM, I read a huge amount of health and fitness pieces every week. Many are the blog posts, feature articles and slideshows from our writers. And, then let’s not forget all the great pieces out there on other websites too. It’s essential that we stay up-to-date on all new studies and articles being published in the world of health and fitness.
After we publish the pieces here on LIVESTRONG.COM, we also read the comments that our site members are posting at the bottom of our articles in order to respond to questions (when we have answers) and to find out about the comments, thoughts and experiences you as an audience want to share with us.
Here are some of the pieces we published on the site last week:
1. MOST POPULAR: 16 Gym Etiquette Rules That People Often Break
This new slideshow received over 470,000 page views, 821 Facebook “likes” and 105 comments from site users. Find out what LIVESTRONG.COM readers REALLY think about Axe body spray, cell phone usage on treadmills, sweaty benches, men’s revealing short running shorts, and more! Also, find out if you are breaking any of these important rules and annoying your fellow gym patrons…
2. 18 Fat-Rich Foods That Are Good For You
This piece has received over 35 user comments, and has people questioning the inclusion of canola oil on the list. And other readers are asking why we didn’t include coconut oil on the list. (Reason is the slideshow is all about monounsaturated fats, and coconut oil is a possibly heart-healthy saturated fat.) Read this great piece to learn all about the benefits of coconut oil.
3. My Latest Blog Post: What Are THE MOST Nutritious Foods?
DID YOU KNOW: #Kale, chard, collard greens, watercress, and arugula are among THE MOST nutrient dense foods per calorie you can eat?
4. 12 Easy, Anytime Moves to Help With Foot and Ankle Pain
Apparently, there are a lot of people out there dealing with foot and ankle issues. This piece received 585 Facebook “likes” and 123 Pinterest “pins.”
