Motivation: Honor Your “Human Experience”
By RACHEL GRICE
“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Have you joined the 30-day meditation challenge yet? It's an easy way to re-focus and center yourself for spring — the season of fresh starts. Sometimes we get so caught up in the craziness of our everyday lives that we forget to stop and breathe and enjoy the moment. Just start with five minutes of quiet reflection and take time to honor your "human experience."
And you don't have to be super spiritual to reap the benefits meditating, either. The themes of peace, tranquility, contentment and gratitude are universal. By viewing ourselves as more than just our physical bodies, we open ourselves up to acknowledging things that exist outside of the physical. And who doesn't want to be more peaceful and content?
