MyPlate for iPhone Has New Apple Health Integration and More

As many of you may already know, MyPlate (the free LIVESTRONG.COM calorie tracker and its free companion mobile apps) can help you reach your diet, weight-loss and fitness goals by tracking your daily eating and exercise.

And — as of today – the brand new MyPlate iPhone app now has some exciting new features…
3 New Features in the Free MyPlate Mobile App for iPhone:
1. We've integrated with Apple's much-anticipated new iOS8 Health App, which is a dashboard that allows you to sync data from other devices and apps all into one place. To utilize this requires upgrading to iOS8 and an iPhone 4S or higher.
2. We've completely redesigned the MyPlate app's Progress section to include easy-to-read charts that give you a quick summary of your data including Calories, Weight, BMI, Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat and much more. Whether you want to lose, maintain or gain weight, the LIVESTRONG.COM MyPlate Calorie Tracker will help you achieve your diet and nutritional goals.
3. Macros! You asked for them, and we listened — macronutrients are now located directly beneath your daily tracking buttons so you can easily see how your daily diet is distributed between the three macronutrients: fat, carbohydrates and protein.
