Can Excessive Exercise Cause Breast Hardening?

Breast tissue in women consists of connective tissue and fat cells, which don't harden with exercise. You can strengthen the pectoral muscles under the breasts, which lift and support breast tissue, but you can't harden the breast tissue itself, no matter how much you exercise. If you have very small breasts with little fatty tissue, strenuous chest exercises may give your chest wall and breasts a firmer appearance but won't change the appearance of larger, sagging breasts.
