ok, peeps, we're almost halfway through July!

Where are our fabulous healthy winners?

    • In 2011 I was over 300 pounds. I lost about 60 pounds over the course of 4 years...slowly, unhealthily, and not very intentionally. In September 2015, I was 242 pounds, lethargic, unmotivated, and unhappy...but I decided that I couldn't allow myself to settle into unhappiness until I had given my physical health the full attention it needed. I started tracking my food and drastically changed my eating habits. I began working out several times a week, mostly walking and HIIT workouts in the privacy of my own garage. I drank tons of water. After losing 10 pounds, and seeing that I was able to do something that felt completely impossible, the motivation came. It's been almost 2 years now, and I've lost 79 pounds since September 2015 and 140 since my highest weight. I feel like a new person. I have learned to love myself not because of my new body, but because I realized I am strong, and fierce, and a fighter. This journey to health has been long, and hard, and at times lonely, but I've never done anything more worth it. My focus now is no longer on just fat loss but getting stronger! I hope to inspire others to take similar journeys because I felt SO very stuck in my situation with my health and never thought I could do this, but hearing about other's success is part of what inspired me to get started. I never knew the power that was inside of me all along to do what was necessary to journey towards health. Now that I know that power is there, I'll never be the same.

Great job, Lacey! You must feel so good!

    • What an inspiration!! You look so healthy and fit now. Way to go. Thanks for sharing!!!

    • Well, my journey began in April. A distant family member asked at a family dinner if I was expecting again because my belly was getting bigger. I was at that time 8 months post delivery of my second child. Feeling rather down from post pregnancy things anyway this hit me pretty hard. I decided that day was as good as any to make a change. I started with a two week cleanse followed by a strict keto/paleo nutrition plan. I have not been capable of sticking with a good plan well, ever, until now. I feel like a recovering addict. I know several may bash me using that, but it's true. I was addicted to food. I ran on carbs and coffee. However, for the first time I looked at my children following my eating pattern and knew I needed to change. Thanks to learning portion control this wonderful app/support system, and discipline I am down nearly 35 lbs and the smallest I have been since I was in high school. Bonus I'm doing it the healthy way! I am now considered to be a healthy BMI, which I can't remember ever being and I feel very confident in the good choices I make for my children and myself. I am 31 and in the best shape of my adult life. I would dream of being one of the after pictures you see on Pinterest and now I can't wait to see what my healthy lifestyle brings on! Strong is the new skinny!!

Wow bdennison1585!! Incredible progress! Food can absolutely be an addiction. Congratulations on your amazing success!!

    • Kace, thanks it's been hard work but worth it for sure. I still look at friends crazy eyes when they say I'm their motivation. I'm just so thankful for the change you only get one life and now I feel like I have the tools to make the most of it wink it's been a physical change but also very mental!

    • Great job! I love these posts. It's so nice to read the turn around stories and I love that you both want to be strong!

      Awesome!

    • When I hit 30 my body changed dramatically. I was always in relatively good health up to that point, however I guess some of the bad habits finally caught up with me. I remember on December 14th, 2016 (2 weeks before the date of the before picture) that I finally got tired of what I was looking at in the mirror and being too fatigued to keep up with my kids. I decided to get a jump on my New Year's resolution and immediately began eating better. I didn't add exercise into my routine until February, but by then I had some good momentum. All told, I have lost 73 pounds from my highest weight last year and feel better than I ever did even as a teenager. I'm able to keep up with my kids and wife now which means the world to me. I'm still pushing myself even now, but it's been an awesome journey!

    • Great stories everyone. Keep up the outstanding work.

      Awesome!

    • almost 7 months in! 30 pounds down. being a nurse and a mom of 2 Toddlers? and a wife of an over worked husband I know life gets hard and it wasn't slowing down anytime soon! over the past 6 months I've suffered a miscarriage which was undescribably heartbreaking, followed by health issues ending in a gallbladder removal. life tough but deciding to put myself and my health back on the priority list has been the best decision I've ever made! Never Give Up
