Hi all, this is devang from India,
I have been doing gym and jogging since May, proud to say that I have made up stamina for 8 km running at 9 kmph.
swam laps for a little more than an hour, did about 75 push ups, and practiced doing flips on the trampoline.
No, I didn't exercise today. I'm off. I want to exercise. Tom I will really do it. Swimming with Running that is. Hot damn! I can't wait for tom!
I will repost what I put under "Do More Cardio" as it applies more directly here:
Suds has taken to not giving us breaks between jumproping, he just fills the would be breaks with other activities: "one-two" sit-ups, side slapping sit-ups, "one-two" toe touches, etc. Better cardio, I'd presumed, but I was utterly pathetic, even with the first set of jump-roping. We did three sets cause nobody knew who the Trio was. There's not much left of October and my goal of mostly holding up for the three three minute jumprope sessions is slipping away. I'll need to start practicing at home.
I did alright with my pushups after class considering how poorly I did in boxing and how sore my arms were. I kindof phoned in the last pushup on the two ten sets and only was able to do 12 of the 15-max set, but I did an extra 3 soon afterward and another 8 set later.
Who are those fine gentlemen Suds and Trio you speak of?
Suds is my boxing coach and Trio is apparently the German band who sang the song "da da da".
Suds consistently asks us trivia about the song we're jumping rope to and if somebody gets it we don't have to do our third set of jumproping.
Last class he had a cover of a Beach Boys song and asked us what album it was off of (not a Beach Boys album clearly, though it was apparently, very familiarly named Good Vibrations).
The class before he asked us where some particular soul singer was working when he wrote the song in question (apparently in a brothel).
I biked to church this morning. I kept a pretty steady pace but had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath. Exercise induced asthma can do that.
this week up to 4 days in the gym, today and hour of cardio. Starting to feel my endurance returning =)
I started taking tae-kwon-do lessons a couple of months ago, I want to train myself outside of lessons to perform better in sparring.
Swam at the lake for bout 40 mins. I took this dare because I don;t just run, but cycle, hike, walk, paddle boat, kayak. Good cross training.
I would love to be able to increase my stamina so i can look good and feel good. I want to be able to jog and not feeling like throwing up by the time i'm done with LESS than a mile! So here i go!!
had a recovery day today, still doing rehab on a bad hamstring tear. looking forward to being able to rebuild my running stamina
I am running a 5k on June 18, 2011. I do not walk to walk 1 step, I am going to run the entire 3.1 and hope to do it in 30 minutes.
Today I did speed work, tomorrow I am running 3 miles without my watch - just run it! I have not run 3 miles straight yet, let's see if I can do it! wish me luck!
I am trying to spin and do weights 3 times a week and run/walk vigorously 3 other days...One day off. I need to loose 30 lbs. Following a high protein low carb approach but somehow one week in, progress is slow!!!!!!!!!!!!
