Had 1/2 cup of coffee each morning for the last few mornings. I am still so surprised that I don't really miss all the flavored creamer, calorie laden, 1/2 pots of coffee I was drinking. The added bonus: I am actually having a hard time making my calorie goals...the added 250+ calories I'm not getting from my Hazelnut stuff has given me a lot more room for some actual sustenance.

It's only 4pm and I've had 3 servings of caffeine! My long hours of studying haven't even happend yet, so today is going to be really bad for my caffeine goals. I can already tell.....

I haven't had a headache for 2 days...dropping down to 1 cup of coffee this morning. If that goes well for a couple of days, then by Tuesday or Wednesday I should be off coffee. Since I haven't really drank soda for several months, I think I should be pretty much off of caffeine.

I am out of the fancy flavored creamer now. I have the original powder stuff only now. Not fond of it, but, since I can't just drop the caffeine cold turkey, I'm dealing with it. Only had a slight headache last night on 2 cups. Having only 1 1/2 cups of coffee today.

Had 3 less cups of coffee. The headache wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I did have it bad enough that I had to take some meds...and of course it had caffeine in it...hopefully not as much as the 3 cups of coffee I gave up. I hope I can do this before my present batch of creamer runs out as I'm determined not to buy anymore!!!

I am so addicted to coffee. I could easily wean to non caffeinated coffee, but, caffeine is not the real problem. I can't seem to give up all the flavored creamer which is adding a ton of calories. Even using the lower calorie versions, I can add up to 250 calories a day. I have "cut back" in the past, but it creeps back up. I have determined that the only way to cut back is to cut out altogether. Because I will get headaches going cold turkey I need to cut back gradually until I can stop totally.

I had a goal at the beginning of the year to stop drinking soda...it lasted maybe a month. I am hoping with this i am able to stick with it.
