hmm... I really am having trouble adding fat w/out adding an insane amount of calories. I really don't know how to get this number up effectively.. cheese? 36grams

peanut butter, walnuts, almonds, avacados, things like that might help

67 Grams today. I wanted to get this number up a bit today because I've had such low fat intake the past couple day. I added olive oil to my salads and had cereals w/ nuts in them.

Since I started keeping better track of what I'm eating, I've noticed that I'm eating quite a bit less fat. Today I ended up with 35. I've been having trouble getting my grams up around 50, I even put olive oil in my soup today. Any other quick easy suggestions how I might add some healthy fat to my diet.

I have 18 grams so far today. I think I'll try to eat a high fat snack later today. My goal is 51g, but 18 just seems way too low. Maybe I'll have some celery w/ peanut butter.

only 13 grams today, just not feeling up to par!
By mrndcmch on September 21, 2009 at 09:36 PM
I'm around 60 grams today. I think if I stayed home to eat more often I'd do a lot better. But I like to visit and end up eating more fat than I intended.

only 11 grams today

I ate about 26 grams of fat today. Unfortunately again, not the best kind of fat. I'm actually pretty positive most of it was saturated.

I went to Outback tonight for dinner.. so sadly, I'll have to admit to 90 grams of delicious fat from eating rack of lamb, blooming onion, cheesecake, and sauteed mushrooms.

I didn't do too bad here. I got 59grams where my goal was 51, and the lion's share of that was good fats like olive oil and peanut butter. Not too bad.

I just posted the grams of fat that I ended up eating yesterday, because the day is not yet done. But, my goal isn't just less fat, it's better fat.
By playgroundp on September 15, 2009 at 11:18 PM
made my goal of 25 :D
idk if thats actually good or anything but thats AWESOME for me
By aruley on September 9, 2009 at 03:58 PM
Doesn't look like anyone is really posting. Guess I'm not the only one having a hard time with this dare.
By aruley on August 24, 2009 at 09:22 AM
I'm specifically looking to control my high cholestrol, but I couldn't find a dare dedicated to cholesterol. My problem is partly genetic, but if my mom can get off her cholesterol medication by eating better, then I should be able to keep myself off medication with a combination of diet and exercise.

Good fat... GOOD
BAD fat.... EVIL!

An obvious point many dieters fail to recognize.
Eat nuts, oils, olives, avocados, peanut butter, etc. You should be getting 20 to 30 percent of your daily calories from fat, particularly unsaturated. It\'ll do wonders for weight loss (particularly appetite control).
By outranges on July 14, 2009 at 08:52 AM
I agree. Most people here don't seem to realize that difference. Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats are actually GOOD for you, such as in peanut butter or avocado. It's not that effective to just watch the # of grams. More important to eat good fat vs. bad.
