I actually have no idea how much protein I had today but Im sure Ive been so into nuts, beans, tofu and soy milk in the past 4 months.
I'm trying to make sure I get more protein and less carbs in my diet. I'd like to track for this dare, but I have no idea what a "serving" of protein is. Is there a certain amount, or is it just a serving of protein-rich food? Help!
Really hard to get protien in and stay at caloric goal? Vegetarian so clories and carbs are easier to come by than the protien? I am averageing 40g, I know that is not enough for my workouts... need a secret protien pill. LOL
It's really hard for me to get protien because I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian and my brother's allergic to nuts, so we don't have any thing made with nuts or in a factory with nuts at my house. But, I eat a lot of cheese (even though I'm a bit intolerate to dairy).
Have you tried products made by Quorn? Quite good!
I am on a high protein diet and have done it for a week. I still crave carbs but it is getting better.
I have made it at least to 74% of my necessary protein requirement each day since I took this dare. I consider this pretty successful because it's hard for me to find sources of protein that I like and are not dead, and are easy to prepare quickly. But I persist, and do feel better than I did before.
I have to take in as much protein as I can. For I am living with the Gastric Bypass, and protein is required more so then for just the regular person. I stopped taking protein powders, but have a hard time getting in enough, so have been trying to get it back into the habit of getting the right amount of protein, and in great need of it since I have upped my activities.

My midwife told me I needed to be getting atleast 100 grams of protien per day for the remainder of my pregnancy. At first I thought she was insane, since the standard daily recommended amount is only 25, but I've been doing really well. :) Now if I could only keep my carb intake down!
