I forgot I was doing this dare, but that's okay. I was checked not to long ago and my blood shows normal iron levels, yay me! I'm doing something right!
how exactly am I supposed to be managing my anemia each day?
thinking about quitting this "dare" as pointless.
I've been anemic for 6-7 years..
became a vegetarian in Jan and quit all supplements a month ago. Donated blood last week.
I'm not Recommending this as a plan.. it is abundantly clear to me that my body functions opposite from the norm or medical expectations. :(
good luck!
I don't exactly know too many foods with Iron in the but I'm thinking about getting some supplements.
About two weeks ago, I found out that I have anemia. At this point I am just trying to manage it and accept that I will have anemia for the rest of my life.
I have taken my iron supplements for the past 2 days in a row, but am not good about it long-term. This has been a real challenge for me, and basically I only remember to deal with it when I'm so run down that I have no choice.
in my experience the supplements don't help anyway... but try it and see if it works for you.
Take iron supplements with a glass orange juice (vit C) to help with absorption.
I am anemic and have known about it for 2 years, I've been managing it for awhile but can always do better.
I was told I had Anemia a few years ago and haven't done anything about it. I dealt with being exhausted a lot, but as of late it has been getting worse. So I hope to get into the habit of taking my iron pill everyday.
Today is my first day taking the Dare.. I've suffered from Anemia for a while and am on the 12th day of a 28 day Repliva iron regimen. If I can find some ways to manage my anemia naturally I would love to.. Anything to stop having to swallow these huge pills!..
So im feeling more energy from cooking with the caste iron skillet, and eating more oatmeal & stuff. It's coming along, hope you all are doing well!
That sounds interesting. Do you have any tips on how to pick the right iron cookware or the best places to look?
Hi all,
Well, today I started taking my liquid iron supplement, along with aloe vera juice ( not so tasty!) But mixed with a berry juice not so bad. Since this is my 1st. time trying this website out I'm not quite sure what to say. I looked up an article about accupuncture and anemia. So I think I will start out by asking my healthcare provider for help in looking to see an accupuncturist! I have a chronic illness which doctors think is why I have anemia.
I hope your feeling better, I am managing my anemia with natural food sources, and am using a cast iron skillet. I eat farina like on a daily basis, because I don't like the heaviness of bread unless its sprouted...but farina is super high in iron. Like you trying new techniques to manage is better than doing nothing, and aloe vera juice does have healing properties too. Hope to hear more supportive feedback from fellow anemics!
