I have been sitting at my computer for an hour with a package of my son's favorite cookies on the desk and I just noticed. A few months ago I'd have eaten several even if they were in the kitchen where they belong. I cannot say enough about what the meditative aspect of Tai Chi has done for my will power.
15 minutes last night of loving kindness meditation. Planning on 15 minutes today as well. I really enjoy Stephen Cope meditations.
15 mins guided meditation from. Apple app called "Simply Be" has words and music. Nice and easy.
what does it mean to clear your mind ? can i listen to music ? does it count if it ends with me falling asleep ? is it better when i wake up or before i go to sleep ?
Good question. I have ADD so I can never quite clear my mind unless I am listening to a hypnosis cd, and that feels like sleeping. I get my meditation in the form of Tai Chi instead. I'm looking forward to seeing the answers to this question.

I tried to meditate for sometime but I would say I only managed 2 min of clarity. The rest of the time I was thinking about all sorts of things. This is so much harder than I thought.

I can't even get two minutes. I do Tai Chi instead, and it helps me a lot. Food seems to stay in perspective and not be so important. I don't feel like I have to rush and fill up on something as soon as I can be alone.
I enjoy meditation every night before bed. I also listen to my weight loss meditation tape on my way to work every other day.

Started this dare tonight. Goal is to start with 5 mins meditation twice a day, plus 20 mins mindfulness during the day.
Evening 5 mins complete.
Mindfulness attempted earlier in the day - probably managed five or ten minutes before the mind went off to other places.

I planned on only doing ten minutes today, but ended up doing twenty. It was so relaxing, and after I meditate I feel like going for a nice run. C: Not a bad thing if you ask me. I was wondering if there are any limitations to what kind of music you can listen to while you meditate. I can't relax, and count my breaths when I listen to "Meditation" Music. I listened to some Dubstep when I did it today, and I found my self actually able to concentrate.
I think everyone is a little different. I listen to certain songs off the "Into the Wild" soundtrack. Easy listening acoustic guitar songs with inspiring lyrics.
Need to get more into this: Am definitely going to do more reading on yogajournal.com- helps inspire me!

Did ten minutes today - all I had time for inbetween housework and running around after my 2 year old. I meditate irregularly but I want to try and fit in at least 15minutes a day.
Does anyone know of a good website or anything that can help get me started with meditation? I know the basics, but I think starting with a video or some sort of audio guide would help me.
