C25k week 4 day 2
Since it was a little warmer today (-5 C, 23f), and the sun was out, I decided to try my first outdoor run of the year. Much more fun, and also I think I slowed down my pace a bit compared to the 6mph pace on the treadmill. I actually cheated a little and ran a little extra at the end to keep warm.
c25k week 4 day 1,
suddenly got harder. longer intervals, longer total run time. rest periods seemed short.
21.67 miles for the week 10.12 was my long run. 3 months until next 1/2 marathon. I would like to drop a few LB's before then.
Ran 1.5 miles in 20 minutes. Running 20 minutes without stopping is the longest I've ever been able to run in my life. Making progress!
Hi there,
I am coming back after a long long time.... I haven't checked into this dare for quite some time.... But, I just wanted some motivation as I've signed up for 8kin March... And all your posts are so inspiring.....
Good luck! I am sure you will do awesome. I have had lots of long hiatus from running over the last 5 years and once I get going again I remember the reasons why I actually like running. In fact this will be my first time running through the winter, and so far it has not been so bad. Even when it's hard I feel so glad (and accomplished)that I did it.

saw another decrease in heart rate at the end of the intervals, roughly 5% from the first day this week.
C25K W1D1. I've tried this program before but never had the time or the motivation to see it through. But I swear to god I'll make it this time. Well... I hope.

trying to follow the c25k program feels so much better than when I have just gone out to run as much as I could. The feeling of actually mastering a workout is so much better than being demolished by it. Already seeing my peak heart rate decreasing at the end of the intervals.
8.1 miles today. Went out at 10 am was ok for about 15 minutes, just windy and little snow flurries. Then about mile 2 it was a complete blizzard. My gloves got wet (my choice of gloves inappropriate for this weather.), my jacket was getting there and my pants were a little wet. Turned around to go back. Got home tried to run on my treadmill for the remaining 4 miles, decided that sucked. Threw my clothes in the dryer, mapped out a route in my neighborhood got my mittens that I should have worn in the first place and headed back out.

registered for a 10k at the end of april, hopefully I'll get a few miles outside before then, if the snow melts early.
