Isn't it dark at that time? And how do you motivate yourself to run that early? And do you eat something before you run cuz I have to wait 1/2 so I don't get side pain? I'd like to run early but not sure how to do that...

I haven't been keeping very good track of my running on here lately; however, I had an awesome 5 mile run today.

4.55 miles today in 50 minutes...which is faster than I have run before, those are 11 min miles, 12-13 has been the norm for me.

5 miles twice last week. Planning on 5 miles tonight. Have Ragner this weekend so don't want to go nuts. I am still super pokey!

I had started this dare a long time ago with a goal of running for 60 minutes. Since, I have signed up to run a half marathon (scary). So, that 60 minutes has been blown out of the water (which is fantastic). I have raised my goal to 3 hours of running (an expectation of what I can see at the half). I'm a slow runner, but I'm running, that's all that matters. I'm in a funk and figured that motivation comes best from people who are doing what I'm doing. So, I'm back to tracking here.

Sounds like a great goal to get where you want to be. My longest run was about 70 minutes and i am adding distance gradually to get up to doing a half next spring...good luck!

Not bad for having not gone running in awhile. Hopefully I can keep it up!

I do a walk/run. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in Feb, so I started my 3days a week training. Today was a bit hard because I did 5 miles yesterday and 3 miles today, my shins were killing me! But did it! I'll rest tomorrow and do another 3 miles Thursday.

Went first thing this morning before the wind had a chance to kick up. The sun was just coming up; it was absolutely beautiful. Will do that more often!

quite cool today, realizing it is November.

By angelovearth on November 6, 2009 at 10:11 AM

The wind is at 30 mph today and just couldn't get myself to go running. Opted for tae bo. I. Will. Go. Tomorrow. 6 miles. No. Matter. What!

I seemed to have inspired my 11 year old son. He has decided he would run to the bridge and back from now on every other day. That's 1.6 miles. He borrowed my running shoes the first day and today I bought him a pair of his own and we went for a nice easy run. I really enjoyed it!
