perfect 60 degree weather, perfect 5 mile run down along the river. i wait all winter for days like this!
Hey everyone!
I'm just coming back to livestong after a too-long break. I used to run and I've done several races... back in August, 2011 I injured my knee and was unable to run for a while. I started running again (per the advice of my doctor!) before I was all-the-way healed. When I realized my knee wasn't getting better on it's own I finally went to physical therapy, where I was told to stop running.
Well...my physical theropist just gave me the OK to start jogging again! yay!! So I'm back to this dare... tomorrow I will go for a short and easy jog
Great run on Iowa Ave. today! A bit of walking but it was such a good run after like two weeks off.
started week 7 of c25k this week, but after having oral surgery I was ordered not to exercise for a week :(
c25k w5 day 2
I was somewhat disappointed when I found out this workout was two intervals of 8 minutes with 5 minutes walking inbetween and not three intervals of 8, 5, and 8 minutes. Bring on 20 minutes on Saturday!
c25k w5 day 1.
still running outside, hasn't got colder yet. Feels good, I think I'm running a little faster.
22.65 miles for the week. 11.1 was my long run. I was only gonna do 10.5 but felt ok to do the extra 1/2 mile. yeay me!
C25k week 4 day 2
Since it was a little warmer today (-5 C, 23f), and the sun was out, I decided to try my first outdoor run of the year. Much more fun, and also I think I slowed down my pace a bit compared to the 6mph pace on the treadmill. I actually cheated a little and ran a little extra at the end to keep warm.
c25k week 4 day 1,
suddenly got harder. longer intervals, longer total run time. rest periods seemed short.
