I fit in a few of my favorites (coffee, chocolate, and wine) while staying within my calorie goals. Yay for food tracking!
Worked out and counted calories today..I am a 51 year old female and I have been trying to lose weight since before Christmas. I have lost 15lbs. Not as much as I would like but it's better than nothing.

Started tracking my food and my fitness. Now that I have started doing both, I've actually been more motivated to stick with this and see it through. :)

Feeling amazing....finally found Ezekiel products..literally a godsend...lol...I can have my bread & eat it too. Tracking everything I put in my mouth...I'm becoming creative with recipes including a lentil recipe in which I use over 17 spices. Yum! If you want it posted no problem...Suprised not to see more posts here..c'mon!
I love this...I read Sugar Busters about 3 years ago and dropped 40 lbs...didn't miss a thing! you replace, brown rice for white rice, sweet potatoes for white ones, etc...reading food lables is key, tricky suckers. No processes foods and no evil white flour or sugar. I'm back here, because a put a few, not all, back on and eating that way is the only way to get & keep it off..shouldn't be eating that other junk anyway. Once you cut those things out, and start eating how you're supposed to be and continue to eat like that, your body just naturally loses weight and puts you where you should be. And to see Dr. Oz endorse this way of eating, that hunk, is a bonus!
DAY 2 WAS A LITTLE BETTER....BUT STILL TO MUCH CARBS BUT I THINK IN A WEEK OR 2 I WILL GET IT TOGETHER......NOW I'M OFF TO MY HIP HOP CLASS...
yes i have so far so good & and drinking more water that's hard for me,, i'm good with fruits & veggies but keeping the calories down will be new...........so i'm tracking my first day.
I am having a little bit of trouble figuring out some things about eating a low carbohydrate diet along with cutting out sweets. What kind of foods are ok to eat and how much? Also, does it matter what kind of fruits I eat or do most of them count as good carbs unlike pasta and bread??
Ok, here goes.. Sugar is sugar no mater where it comes from. There is NO such thing as a Good Sugar.
download from the web: Good-Calories-Bad-Calories. (just grab the notes to the book).
There are no good carbs.
Fruit you get both sugars: Fructose, and Glucose. there for you get the double wammy.
AND READ the Labels: No High Fructose Corn Syrup, MSG. if it says LITE on the label, its most likely no good for you (unless its dairy where it means that they took fat out of the milk.)

Oh yes when you go on Low Carbs you will need more Good Fats( Animal, Olive Oils, (not veg or corn), Nuts, etc. and lots of meat.
I am 65 years old and I can't seem to get rid of this big tummy and my waist. I have trouble bending over. I need to lose this tummy without surgery. I just want to feel better. I feel like i am carrying around an extra person.
Ok I'm 61 myself and well I look pregnant. I love to eat. and used to model in NYC I'm 6-2 and was at 260lbs. You have to read Good-Calories-Bad-Calories. find his notes on the web and download them. I have lost over 10 lbs already and my goal is to get down to 180. also Pilates, and Yoga are your friends! Good Luck
Try the mobile app if you can, it's great!
Could you ever get the paper tracker. I am also looking for one.
Day 2 on Live strong going better than day 1, as I did 1000 calories over. But, on the plus side I am tracking EVERYTHING! Now... where do I get info on Dr. Oz's diet.
I'm feeling kinda skeptical about starting this diet right away...I'm worried about getting all the exercise I need in order to not gain weight on the diet....anyone have any suggestions??
