Hey Jessie. I started taking belly dancing classes too. My sister talked me into it and I call it jelly belly classes. A lot of the people in the class are overweight but it is fun and IT DOES MAKE YOU SORE. It might look easy but some of the movements and exercises (like holding your arms up, back bends, and moving your hips and waist) really get to ya. I love it though and have a lot of laughs and fun. No one there with thongs on so I don't have to feel uncomfortable about my weight.

I started 2/17/2011. This is my second time joining. I lost 50+lbs. the first time and gained it all back. I hit a 10wk. plateau, got frustrated and quit. In the last 11 days I lost 7.8 lbs. I have a long way to go but this time I'm committed to fighting through the plateau. I know it's coming.

going back to basics, cutting carbs except workout days

Ugh..gained .6. Discussed with the doctor the nicotine was burning 200 plus a day in calories and going off the patch my metabolism is going to slow even with my increased activity. I guess I should be grateful that I have lost 15.8 in 9 weeks and not the .8 gain in the last 2 weeks. One day at a time, one point at a time, and thank good for the activity points earned....

I can't wait my wife is buying me a new race bike(Tomasso Imola carbon)....Life is good!

So far so good. Been sticking to it (except using a few flex points yesterday....but planning and trying real hard.

By Pammie2u on May 29, 2010 at 07:12 PM

Yes, I started 2 days ago and have stayed within my points the first day and used some flex points today (had grandkids and always get tempted to eat some of their "nuggets". tee hee. I lost one pound in two days....lovin it.

Just started WW because nothing else has ever worked except WW. I really lose weight with it and plan to start watching my foods from now and hopefully get off this plateau. I had joined WW about 10 times and was successful each time but dropped out. I am excited to join others that are on the plan.

I forgot to post that I am doing the point system at home on my own, not joining WW. I get all the encouragement I need here on Livestrong. Live Strong!

I decided that I am going to eat as I please today since it is Easter and my fiance and I are going to a bbq. Tomorrow I will weigh in, set a goal for the month, and stick to my eating plan like a pro. :D

Hey everyone. :D I just got a really awesome scale that made me quite happy indeed. But then I got on it and it made me not so happy. So I decided to start Weight Watchers. I have done it before and really liked it. I moved recently and totally fell off the wagon... Sad day. But I am ready to kick some butt now. Summer is right around the corner which means no more hiding under a big sweatshirt. So wish me luck :)

When you get groceries next swap high calorie and fat foods for fruits and veggies. No matter what everyone in your house will benefit from eating right! My bag of chips a day boyfriend now eats salads and drinks water because I don't buy that stuff anymore! Out of sight out of mind!

Gave in to some delicious cheese dip today, determined to get back on track tomorrow.

Did really well, I've only had 13 points so far and I will munch on some snacks tonight!

New to the group. I started weight watchers a week ago. I have followed weight watchers once before and lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks, then got off track. I gained 30 pounds this last year and so I am looking to lose 50 pounds all together. I have stayed under my 22 points every day and have exercised regularly, and I've lost 7 pounds this first week!
