roasted fresh, raw beets for the first time. all my lunches for the week are in individual baggies in the fridge!
That is so awesome, I'm going to try it out this week too!

Homemade Tostadas for dinner. 93% ground beef, fresh corn, black beans, tomatoes and leaf spinach in a shell bowl.
I have to whip some stuff up now, I like the idea of a chart or graph, maybe I'll get to making one up this weekend
Today after my morning workout I stoped at the store to get tofu for a tofu scramble for breakfast, picked up some stuff to make sandwiches and got some hummus w/ a pita for snack to go with the sandwich for work! Plus the frozen stuff I have there. Good stuff
The most progress I've been making with this is I bring frozen food to work & heat that up instead of going to Dunkin Donuts. I bring a few waters and a diet soda, snacks like apple slices & a bananna. I'm doing pretty good with it. My frozen food is morningstar vegetarian meals. So relatively low cal. high protien.
I just clicked on this dare yesterday. Today is my first day. I made a list: morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and then evening snack. Then I put all that food into Myplate to see if it is under my calories. It fits. And I feel safe and in control of today. Also, I am not going to eat the calories I burn today riding my bike and playing softball- since I am in calorie debt of like 4,000- I need to be working on paying that off.
hahaha! I know how you feel.
Bought a tiny white board and made a grid to plan 5 meals each day of the week. Put in all meals for the day, mostly based in leftovers which will also hopefully clean out the fridge. Yah! I'm trying to work up to planning at least 2 days at a time.
Great idea!
So busy at work lately that calories have gone all over the place and I was neither planning nor tracking. Must get back on track.
Yeah!

I plan for the whole week and make a shopping list of everything needed.. this past week I spent $66 on food and we didnt get to all the meals planned because of eating yummy left overs from the day before.. so really I have spent $66 on two weeks of food! (Feeding myself and my growing always hungry son).
I have been good with the planning all week.
Now I need to stick to the plan closer than I have been :)
This is an awesome dare because I'm not one to really plan ahead and I end up with the same thing everyday. For starts I think I'll try to plan two breakfasts and 4 dinners a week. Dinner tonight, salad, Corn on the cob, steak, and baked potatoes,
I have today's meals all planned out. They are within my calorie and nutrient goals, and I have everything on hand, and un-thawed, a great start to the day.
I completely blew it this weekend because I did not stick to a plan and just ate anything that was there. As a result? I feel like crap! I also noticed I've been eating emotionally which is not good at all.
I am taking this dare so that I can be held accountable for my health and stay on track!
Don't you hate that?
Planned out breakfast and lunch... and brought a small snack to tide me over until dinner. I have to eat dinner with my husband's family tonight, so I can't really plan that, but I'm hoping to make good choices!!
Well, it's not exactly being proactive, but we managed to eat the good food at home today. I instinctively drove up to the mall after our morning volunteer work, but the kids stopped us from going to Subway by remembering we had soup and sandwiches ready at home. We drank the bottled water in the car and headed back home. Yah! Saved money and calories! :)!

I am now on a meal plan, and have my meals graphed out for me, a shopping list for all the meals ingredients so I have everything I need for it. Plus a list of 50 cal. & 100 cal. snacks! If anyone is interested let me know. I lost 4 lbs already. I've never eatten so much produce before! =)
