I have been off here for awhile but decided to get myself back on track. I planned out my lunch and dinner and have planned out all meals for the rest of the week. Let's see if I stick to my menu.
My cousin and i both want to lose weight, we are not trying hard enough, we only say we need to eat right and excersise but never actually get around to doing it. we're going grocery shopping on the 10th of this month and both agreed to not buy junk food. no ships, sodas, candies, ect. we both want to begin planning out our meals and our calorie intake. I hope taking this dare and staying true to myself works. :)
Yesterday I went to the supermarked and bought lots of healthy food... I will go on a trip on Nov 26th, to a beach in Mexico. This is how I want to make my methabolism faster, because sometimes I eat just 1 or two times per day, or I eat unhealthy food. Good luck to me in preparing my meals each night for the next day.
Best of luck to you! I find it easier to fixmy meals the night before when I sit down at the beginning of my week and make out my meal plan for the week. Then I make my grocery list from that meal plan. Also, I try to cook the meat and some of the vegetables and carbs all in one day. Then it's just a matter of selecting what I planned for the day and packing it in my lunch box. :)
I didn't plan and track this week and didn't lose any weight. I didn't gain any either, but I think I would have if I had planned my meals and snacks. My gym buddy and I have commited to each other that we will plan our meals for next week and make as much as we can ahead of time. Plus, we're planning to get to the gym 5 days next week. Live Strong!
Setting up a weekly meal plan has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I always take my snacks and water bottle with me so I'll be prepared. Also, this may not work for everyone, but I usually don't carry money with me unless I absolutely have to. It eliminates the possibilty of buying crap food. When I plan out meals for the week it really keeps my stress levels down. I plan to keep it up!
I found the coolest weekly calendar @ Fred Meyer yesterday. It is dry erase and magnetic. I have it posted on the fridge so I already know whats for dinner, and it will help my grocery list so I'm not buying (and waisting $) on stuff I wont use which then goes bad. I'm excited to do my shopping on Sunday AM!
So, my other dares are going to be tough-- and i know that this one will help me keep my motivation and a steady footing so i don't get off track.
Planning ahead has worked for me in the past in reducing the stress around eating and food. I'm excited about taking responsibility for my life!
Yup! Got new foods I wanted to try at Grocery and planned some little meals! Got banana's in the freezer for my protein whip! Scheduled with friends to try new vegan restaurant!
I joined this dare last week because I wasn't losing weight over 2 - 3 weeks. I planned out all of my meals for this past week and broke the plateau! I lost 3.5 lbs this week!!! Planning takes time, but it is soooo worth it!
Congrats! Whenever I don't plan I end up eating junk food on the fly! I agree, planning is worth the time! And I think it gets easier to plan once I'm in the groove. ; )
I'm in the same boat right now, but it has been over 5 weeks. Getting frustrated that the scale is not moving. But at least it's not going up right?!
OMG.. it is so hard for me to plan anything.. but this is one I need to do.. it will help not only with weight loss.. but in just organizing overall.. I plan to start a plan tonight.. and go shopping tomorrow.
You will be glad you did! I am in & out of the store so much faster now. I recomend too, doing all your main shopping at the same store so you dont have to wonder up & down the isles looking for what you need, lessoning the chances you stubble across something that lookes tastey.
Yup! Went to the grocery and got most of my "basics" for my healthy meals. Also researched some new foods to try on Women's Health Magazine website.
-Haagen-Daz's Fat Free Cranberry Blueberry Sorbet
-Kashi U cereal
-Smart and Delicious Tortillas (Low Car & HIgh Fiber)
-Kettle Cuisine Organic Carrots & Coriander Soup
-Imagine Organic Creamy Corn and Lemongrass Soup
-Amy's Mushroom and Olive Pizza
Yum! Can't wait. It's good to mix it up a little bit!!
Planned breakfast, snacks, and lunch. Still have to decide what to make for dinner with the family, but so far so good. Making progress, slowly but surely. Doing 100-150 calories every couple hours and that seems to speed up my metabolism.
Got breakfast, lunch, and snacks planned today. Dinner is planned too - grilled chicken with buffalo sauce and broccoli. One day down!

I planned my meals for the day. However was out of one ingredient and had to borrow from a neighbor. I was out because I underestimated how much of it I would need for the week. Will do better next time.
