Every time you floss, you're removing bacteria and plaque from in between your teeth and gums, which helps prevent gum disease and gingivitis. It also polishes the surface of your teeth and gives you better breath. If you haven't flossed much in the past, it's time to start.

So in order to actually create and be consistent with a habit, I know I need to make myself WANT to do it--not just "have to".
For this particular dare, I am going to create myself a Teeth Cleaning Fun Kit. I am going to take myself over to Target or local drug store, and pick myself out a fun colored new spinning tooth brush, new sparkly toothpaste, individual flossers, and refreshing after-rinse...maybe even a new cup. :)
Once I have all these NEW fun items, it will remind me to actively use them when I open the medicine cabinet! Let's see how this goes!
I came across this dare months ago, and I've done it almost every day since! (I used to floss VERY rarely)
i flossed last night. it bled.
my gums hurt a bit this morning.
this is proof that i need to get back on the floss waggon.
My husband does this every day, but I never seem to remember. Well, this morning I made a point to do it and my teeth really do feel better. Weird how something so small can make a difference.
