Deep-Breathing Exercises for Headaches

Headaches are most often caused by stress, according to the MayoClinic.com website. If you suffer from stress or tension headaches, you may be able to relieve some of the pain without drugs by relaxing and performing deep-breathing exercises. If you have a dull, aching pain in your head that lasts for at least 30 minutes, you probably have a tension headache. If you suffer from tension headaches more than twice a week, or if your headaches are accompanied by a stiff neck or fever, talk to your doctor.
