Diet Face Off 2: John Wrap up

Well, here we are, week 9. 
starting weight - 228 lbs
current weight -  204.8 lbs
weight loss this week - 1.2lb
total lost to date - 23.2 lbs

As we end this thing, I must say that I am really proud of what I did.  I have looked at my eating habits, preferences, etc. and really made some changes. My wife says I look HOT!

I just had a check up at the doctors office and my bad cholesterol is down 23 points. YAY!  If for nothing else, that is worth all the hard work.  I probably won't ever be off my blood pressure medicine, it's kinda hereditary, Dad has it too.  But I am really pleased with how weight watchers has worked for me and my wife.  We have paid attention to adding more fruits and veggies, less processed foods.  Cooking more at home, and having one evening out to dinner a week.  Picking more foods that are better for us calorie wise.  We used to consume huge amounts of calories each day with out thought.  

Trying to exercise is still a difficult thing for us.  Our time is very limited after work.  With kids and homework, dinner, and getting some rest, it doesn't leave much time.  But....we still try to.  I usually get in 4.3 miles a day walking at work.  

I really enjoy my weight watchers meetings.  We get some good ideas for recipes, and it keeps you focused.  You need that push sometimes.  I don't usually track in the little book they give, I track on the daily plate every day.  That application is perfect for on the go tracking.  

well, enough for now.  I really appreciate livestrong.com for giving my wife and I the opportunity to start a new program, or journey in our life.  We have made some real LIFE changes.
