The Differences Between the Side Press & the Bent Press

The side press and the bent press are weight-training exercises that look strikingly similar at first glance. The differences between the side press and the bent press lie in form and which muscle groups they target. The exercises traditionally use a kettlebell, a cast-iron weight with an appearance similar to a bowling ball with a handle. However, if you do not have a kettlebell, you can perform both types of presses with a dumbbell instead.
