Facial Exercises for a Gaunt Face

There are several reasons you may have a gaunt face. The shape of your face could be hereditary or generated by weight loss. Lipodistrophy infers "loss of fat," and is a condition that can cause a gaunt facial appearance, usually due to illness. This is often apparent in HIV patients. The natural aging process can also bring about a gaunt appearance caused by loss of fat and muscle tone. Cosmetic procedures can improve the appearance of a gaunt face, or you can practice facial exercises to help rebuild lost muscle tone.
