How to Run in Place to Burn Fat for Weight Loss

It takes approximately 12 minutes for your body to begin pumping out enzymes that melt fat -- and during those 12 minutes, your heart rate has to be significantly elevated. The longer you keep your heart rate that high, the more fat your body will use for energy. Running significantly elevates your heart rate to levels that cause your body to lose fat.
