How to Fit a Catcher's Mitt

Every defensive player on a baseball field uses a glove --- also called a mitt --- of some form to catch and handle a baseball. Catchers, however, have a much different type of glove. A catcher's mitt is much larger and has a wider palm area. The padding is also much thicker than other types of gloves, because catchers routinely handle balls exceeding 80, 90 or even 100 miles per hour at college and professional levels. Given how crucial the catcher is to a team's defense, it's important that his mitt fits properly.
