Quick Pitch Technique in Football

Quarterbacks throw quick screen passes to escape pressure or surprise the defense. They make quick pitches to the running back in hopes of breaking a big play to the outside. Quick pitches are delivered underhand and require perfect timing and execution. When the quarterback and running back are not in sync, the pitch can result in a fumble or tackle for loss. Properly executed quick pitches allow the running back to scoot around the end and gain big yardage.
