Moringa olifera, also known as horseradish tree, drumstick tree or clarifer tree, is a fast-growing small tree native to India and east Africa. Its leaves, white flowers and characteristic, drumstick-shaped pods have historically been used to treat a variety of ailments. Drumstick tree roots are toxic and may lead to paralysis. The other adverse reactions and drug interactions of moringa products have not been documented scientifically. Hence, they should not be used without the guidance of a physician.
