This is a group for people with 100 pounds or more to lose, though we are inclusive and anyone can join. Most of us have tried enough diets to realize they don't work for the long-term and are embracing a lifestyle change. This is a place to come to discuss our special challenges and share stories, kindness, support, inspiration, and the wisdom we've gained in our journeys with each other. "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
I have been on livestrong for a while now (even when "the daily plate" used to be its own website). I went from about 350 to 300 in one summer on the site, gave up, came back a couple of months later and tried it again (worked) then gave up again. Now I am back up to about 315lbs :(. I am a college student and it is really hard to eat healthily. I really want to lose this weight (get down to 200). Any "inspiration" or suggestions?
I've always struggled, but what seems to have changed a lot for me is getting in balance. Find some time to meditate and really start listening to your body and what it needs. That little extra bit of exercise helps too. Being in college is hard. Other people who can eat whatever they want and go partying don't understand. But see what is best for yourself and give yourself some love.
I know this is hard, but you can do it. We all can!

We are all in the same boat if this came easy to us, we'd all be the ideal weight and would have remained that way. It's hard to stay dedicated and focused when life takes us in many directions.
I remember when I was younger, my uncle was very determined to lose the weight he said, "There are the 3 D's one must master in life....Dedication, Desire, and Determination."
I keep that in mind when I go about my goal I wish to master, and that applies to everything I do in life. It's more than just a weight thing I've come to find out. It's a life thing. It's good that you're back to TDP. College life can be busy. Try keeping on hand low calorie snacks (I keep Special K bars on me all the time), keep a water bottle on you, and if you do plan on going out to eat, check it out first online and make your plan of attack.
As a college student myself, I find being on TDP is easier for me because I'm almost always on or near a computer and it only takes a couple seconds to enter what kind of chips I had from the vending machine from school.
