Because its just easier to compare goal weights, consumption, and progress with people your own height.
i have this problem! Its so hard to have a day where I reach that point of satiety. It doesn't matter how much I eat; I could eat like 3,000 calories and still be ready for the next go-round. When I realized this, I began portion control and am getting in the habit of tracking everything I eat. I make this whole eating process a logic/mental thing rather than a "feeling thing."
It gets so annoying when thin people say, "Just eat till you're full," or "Just eat until you know you're not hungry" or "just listen to your body," because my body is always wrong.
Today is one of the few days out of the month where I'm Not wanting to stuff my face with food. Its because I ate so much yesterday, but most days its like a battle against my desire to keep eating and eating and eating.
Thanks for everyone that caught the mistake...
