That's right! Day two was a success and even more so than day one -- I got up and going another 20 minutes earlier than yesterday! I don't feel as buzzed as I did yesterday, but I'm still so happy to see my net calories in the negative zone, I can hardly explain it. I'm still having a hard time getting over the fact that I'm a morning work out person! If you knew me, you'd know how bizarre that is -- I could make sleeping in an Olympic Sport! Anyone tried Jillian's newer Ripped in 30? It looks really similar to Shred but I wonder if it'd be nice to have a different Level 1 to alternate with. Even if it's the same moves, new words and music might be a welcome change. AND there are four levels which fits into the weekly/monthly schedule better than three, right?

I had made it through level 2 of the 30 day shred then slacked off a bit when I found out
I was pregnant in July of 2010. My son was born in April and I have allowed my exercise to
take a back seat to mommying, resulting in me STILL being 15 pounds over my prepregnancy
weight 9 months later!
Well that is about to change! I started walking again, began a zumba dvd last night with
some ladies from my church (we will meet twice a week) and am counting my calories
closely- trying to incorporate as many healthy choices as possible. I am going to set a
goal to do the 30 day shred at least 3 days a week to start, working up to 5 and
eventually 7 days. I would love to hear how other first time moms are getting back to
their goal weights using shred or any other form of exercise!
Not a mom or struggling with post-pregnancy weight but I feel like it! I just have no excuse but laziness. Before this morning, I hadn't shredded for a year and a half too and I'm SO happy to have picked it up again. Way to get back in the saddle!
And to you and anyone else out there -- I work out in my basement and it has pretty high ceilings but arms-above-the-head moves can be dangerous for me at 5'8". Any suggestions for fun videos that will get me movin' with a minimum of hand scrapings from the celing would be HUGELY appreciated. I know Zumba is a popular activity these days... any others that seem to produce and keep your interest?
Tummy Tone Party Zone is pretty fun as is all of the Walk of the Pounds (I think by Leslie Sansone). I haven't tried Julianne Hough's yet but I hear good things!
Hi there mrsshady!! So glad to see this group up and popping!!! I am a 2nd time mom and I have been struggling for over a year now to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of my first child and well I don't just do 30 day shred but considering only being 20 mins it is def a start and a great calorie burn!!
Thanks for the suggestion, mrsshady -- I ordered a walk off the Pounds video for Abs with the belt. It was ten bucks on Amazon and I thought that was a steal! I'm not too into dancing, but I'll consider it if I get a little more fit (and bored with the videos I have). I'm excited to try in home walking -- never even thought of that before!
Contrary to what I may have thought, I actually woke up this morning and shredded! I'm feeling really energized and really proud of myself. Even though my measurements (and I'm sure my weight) haven't changed this week, I'm so glad to have gotten through day one of my new habit. And wow! I had forgotten how hard that 3rd circuit is -- Jillian is a maniac! I don't mind, though, because I feel great and the time it takes is just perfect for my mornings. Yay Jillian! Yay shred!
woohoo you go girl!!!!!!!!!!! Sure is a great workout but goodness it is hard.......the lady in the back on the left is CRAZY good!!! Really I have to follow the woman on the right for most things lol buy anyways I am glad you shredded this morning!! go fellow shredders! haha!

I've noticed that the girl on the left cheats a little too! How funny - they probably should have done that take again. That said, they all have rockin' bodies that I'd just about do ANYTHING for, so it keeps me motivated. And I'm with you, I follow the gal on the right for the most part. Especially push ups! I've never been able to do push ups and today I could only do 10 and then I planked for a few seconds and then I did the last five with them. OUCHHHH! My pecs hurt.
I've only done it twice now but I'm already getting close to having Jillian's words memorized. Ha ha! I'll have to move on to Level 2 soon, that's for sure. Thanks for the encouragement. I am really LOVING my shreds, have to admit.

I check this group from time to time and often it's quiet. SOOOOOO good to see some fellow shredders on here. I love the shred. I've actually learned to look forward to it-- I love what it does for my abs and my obliques! Amazing! Looking forward to learning more about each of your journeys and experience with Shred!
Please check in with us often -- I need all the motivation I can get! I keep saying "tomorrow" about picking up my shred DVDs and actually using them but this time, I'm for real. If I don't do it tonight, I'm waking up early and doing it tomorrow. Even if I wake up on time, I'm going to do it and just be late for work. Here's to shredding!
HI HI!!! I enjoy doing the shred workouts also well sometimes I dont because I know its a challenge lol !! Anyways motivation is for sure what we all need. I don't just do the shred though. I go to the gym when I can and have a few other exercise videos I like to use to change it up but the shred is the shortest abd best workout I have done! take care!!!

Did Level 1 last week. Tues-Thursday. Really wish I had done it Friday or at least yesterday :( It is just so tough even though it's short. I never look forward to it :( But I know it works! So gonna try to do it at least 5 days this coming week, then gonna move on to Level 2. I've gotten to Level 3 before but then fell off the wagon :(
