I'm going to do this!

posted by amandahwilliams on 9:46 am

I'm 35, a wife, a mother of 2 elementary aged students, a writer, a teacher, and a woman who is tired of carrying around 30 extra pounds.  This weight loss thing did not used to be this difficult.  Is it babies, hormones, life?  I've tried all kinds of stuff, but nothing works.  I know the solution doesn't lie out there in some plan, it is within me.

I've learned that working out on a daily basis for 30-60 minutes--at least--& watching my diet helps greatly. I recently started a food diary which has helped me a lot, as does being able to log stuff into the Daily Plate here on this site. For me, watching my fat grams & sodium intake seems to work better than anything else I've tried.
Good luck in your efforts!

i will be 40 this summer and i have to fight to lose an ounce and then the weight jumps right back on as soon as i ease up or slack off on my vigilance. i think that it's our metabolisms slowing down with age and the pregnancy weight gains did not help any. i can remember when my weight would start to get up to 125 and i would go running a few times and the lbs. would just fall off and never come back! those were the days. . . good luck!
