Left Dallas on May 10th with my German Shepherd dog "Star" to drive to California. Â We
stopped in Albuquerque, then Flagstaff, visited the Grand Canyon, then on to Sedona, then
a long drive across the Mojave Desert (omg it was hot, hot, hot!) and into California to
San Luis Obispo. Â We are up high in the mountains living in a little trailer that is on
a friend's mountain top property. Â Been working on the land alot, and the trailer, and
loving the cool, fresh air and fabulous views.... Â Still losing, even though I haven't
been tracking my intake, which is good and bad. Â Tracking daily input is such a great
way to really know. Â Â Hope you all are doing great, and you have a wonderful Memorial
Day Weekend!! Â <3

So i was ready participate in the latest challenge, but my computer had a mind of its own
and decided to stop working at pretty crucial time. I've just got it back from the shop
with some kinks yet that have to be ironed out.  Â
congrats to all losers.
on the other hand, had anybody tried green coffee extract which was mentioned on dr. oz'
show? did it work for you? the owner of my health food store is praying for dr. oz -
he sold many batches of this extract in a matter of days and he's backlogged for couple
of weeks.  i hope this thing will work in stabilizing blood sugar (as promised) and
will stop the insanity of binging that many of us suffer from.Â

GOOD MORNING BIGGEST LOSERS!!!!!!!
(Sorry I didn't post this earlier, we had a power failure and just got power and internet
back now).
If you haven't joined in already, please join in.
We weigh in every Tuesday and I take the stats off on Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. sharp
and post the results later that morning, usually by 9:00 a.m. 23 people have signed up so
far.
For today's weigh in, I need the following:
BW (Beginning weight on (Livestrong/The Daily Plate) (this is so we can see how people
have done on their journey since starting with this site, not your beginning weight
offline but since being with Livestrong/The Daily Plate)
SW (Starting weight with The Biggest Loser for this challenge which started during the
past week of Tuesday, May 1, 2012. This is so we can see how people have done since
starting with this most recent challenge)
LW (Last week's weight)
TW (Today's weight)
Please post your weigh in under this blog only. Hopefully we will have a lot of people
participating in this 6-week mini challenge.
If you have any questions, please email me and I will try my best to help you out.

Had a really bad weak end for eating and exercising. I didn't do much exercise and ate a WHOLE LOT of junk, feeling pretty low I don't think i have the will power for this. I really feel awful and like giving up. I don't want to give up but i can't find the will power to do anything about it.
We all fall down, BUT WE GET UP! I started off doing semi bad on friday and then fell off the rest of the weekend too. As long as you start over thats all that matters. We all tend to cheat from time to time, but if you can start out again the next day it ok. Its easy to think that just because you have messed up you cant pick back up. I have to look at myself in the mirror and tell myself that its not the end. If your just starting out take it slow. I lheard that in the beginning its good to take away 100 calories a day from your normal diet until you get to the right amount required a day. This will help because the diet wont shock your body and try to store the fat. Also... if your having a hard time restricting junk, limit it to once a week. What helps me is to have a cheat day, or even a cheat meal once or twice a week. After awhile you wont want junk as often and your body may even start to reject it (mine does.) Keep going. Im here if you need a buddy :)
I'm kind of in the same place. However, I have learned that my will power and my will to do the whole weight loss thing comes and goes. When I have a really bad day, I just try again the next day. Sometimes it takes me lots of starts before I can string together a group of good days.
JUST DO IT!!!! I no longer wait until I feel like it. Truth is, most days I don't feel like it - whatever it is. I just know that my clothes no longer fit me, my waist line is increasing, and my fitness level is near the basement,
So..... don't give up. It really doesn't matter how long it takes, it just matters that we keep on trying. This is from a person who joined and quit Weight Watchers within a 12 hour period - several times. I'm also the person who lost 60 pounds and kept most of it off for a long long time.
Thank you ladies! That really does help. I know it's hard for everyone, so I try not to beat myself up too much about it but weak-ends are the worst. I can stay pretty focused through the week (except dinner seems to be a pit too) but then that darn weakend comes. That is a great idea pretty, about the 100 calories, i think that might be a good way for me as well. It seems like if I don't lose weight biggest loser style, nobody thinks im trying and I get discouraged, i've just got to get it in my head it doesn't matter what others think, slow and steady might be the bet. Thank you ladies again!!! It really does help to hear it from those who are going through the same thing.
Don't give up, you're still in the fight! It's been said a million times, but it doesn't matter how fast the weight comes off. The most important thing is that you're switching to more healthy behaviors that you can live with for the rest of your life. That's a big deal! If you can do that, the weight will follow.
I was feeling the same way about 6 months ago. I'd put on a TON of weight, lost a TON of weight, and then put a lot more back on. I figured that was just how it was going to be. It was something small that started the change for me. I stopped taking the shuttle from my car to work. It's about a half mile from the parking lot, so I was (am) walking a mile everyday and before I knew it, I'd lost 3 lbs! Then I stopped taking the elevator and climbed the stairs and the number kept going down. If you can make even just that small a change, you'll start to see the results you want. Then it will be so much easier to make more changes.
You can do this! It's hard, but it's worth it!
Finished: 25 Squats
Challenge: 2 Minutes running in place.
(Post when you finish the challenge and state the next thing to be done. Come on - it's
Monday and the scale is waiting.....)

I just joined Livestrong.com and found this group. I love the Biggest Loser and have been
watching from the start. My old work place had a Biggest Loser group that was a lot of
fun. I've never tried Biggest Loser challange online. If it's not too late to start, can
somone summarize the rules and how it works?
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to seeing if I can use challanges for motivation
because I am lacking motivation right now.
Welcome, you are in the off season mini challenge. So it's alittle slow. BUT, the weigh in is taken by 7:30 tuesday morning, most seem to post sometime wensday. there will be a post by the host and you add your weigh in weights to that post.
You'll have to wait to see if you can still be added, but I would think the more the merier. Enjoy and everyone will be looking foward to your progress.
