I am trying to dump some weight and I am just now learning that Protein is important for
me to intake. I honestly do not take in much protein. How much should I aim for a day?
Any other info would be great too. I am trying to change my eating ways.

On my personal MyPlate, it shows down below that for my caloric intake I should aim for about 33g of protein a day (at least that's what I think that means...). Once upon a time I had a job at our local GNC, and the manager there told me that if you eat 1g of protein for every pound you weigh, you will shed weight. If you eat 2g of protein for every pound you weigh, you will gain muscle mass. I'm not sure how true that is, maybe other knowledgeable people can chime in. Just thought I'd toss in my two cents!
I am no expert but I do know that if you consume large amounts of protein make sure you are doing some sort of strength training or trying to build muscle.....if you do not use the protein you are consuming it can turn to fat!!!!!!! so do more research on the issue before going further and GOOD LUCK!!!!
